The programme applies to all regions in our cleaning business as well as our transport and Make Ready divisions, Amulet, CES, Chequers, On Verve, JV Price and shared services. We want everyone to get involved in this programme to help us identify who our Shining Stars are. Nominate an individual for our monthly Shining Star Awards programme below.

Shining Superstar
Shining Super Star Award This award is for colleagues who have received more than one Shining Star nomination in this judging period.
The Ultimate Star
The Ultimate Star Award This award is open to all colleagues who have received a Shining Star nomination in the last 12 months. The winner will have gone above and beyond what is expected of them. This award is tracked month on month through the Shining Star nomination process.
Game Changer (M&A)
Game Changer Award (M&A) – Open to M&A employees in any location, irrespective of the length of service Someone who has had a profound impact on the business; accepted, or led new challenges or initiatives; Demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit that has driven a positive commercial impact; explores beyond horizons, challenging current practices and behaviours; has made a unique and innovative contribution; demonstrates exceptional dedication and loyalty to their site/department.
Game Changer (front line)
Game Changer Award (front line) – Open to all front line colleagues Someone who has made a significant positive impact for their client; accepted, or led new challenges or initiatives, positively challenges current practices and behaviours and suggests alternatives; has made a unique and innovative contribution; demonstrates exceptional dedication and loyalty to their site/department.
Everyday Hero (support services)
Everyday Hero (support services) – Open to any support colleagues without any direct reports Someone who is seen as a role model within their team and shares their knowledge with others; strives to drive continuous improvement and innovation; delivers an outstanding service to their customers (internal/external), consistently goes above and beyond; committed to ongoing continuous personal development; positively influences the culture of their team/department.
Everyday Hero (front line)
Everyday Hero (front line) – Open to any site-based colleague without any direct reports Someone who is seen as a role model within their team and shares their knowledge with others; strives to drive continuous improvement and innovation; delivers an outstanding service to their customers (internal/external), consistently goes above and beyond; committed to ongoing continuous personal development; positively influences the culture of their team/department.
The Go Getter
The Go Getter – Open to all front line managers Someone who has financial achievement within their account(s); takes responsibility for ensuring company controls and QHSE compliance; demonstrates remarkable contract retention and growth; positively influences the culture of their team/department; promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork; delivers an outstanding service to their customers (internal or external); understands customer needs to build loyalty; implements and actively supports company initiatives and promotions; demonstrates skills and innovation.
Dream Team
Dream Team Award – Open to every site/team irrespective of size Everyone on site demonstrates exemplary client relationships; excellent customer service standards and behaviours; the site delivers innovation across all areas of the operation (ESG, people development etc); continuous opportunities for colleague development and recognition; everyone embraces company values and drives a service culture; all employees are fully compliant with all operational responsibilities (QHSE, Purchasing, Finance etc); the site exudes a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
The Inspirer
The Inspirer Award – Open to any employee with direct reports, regardless of whether the site or support colleagues based A natural leader who sets a clear vision and inspires others to achieve success; actively promotes the importance of colleague development, succession planning and wellbeing; takes full ownership of their individual and team responsibilities to deliver exceptional results; explores beyond horizons and takes measured risks to challenge the status quo; demonstrates successful implementation of new ideas.
The Apprentice Extraordinaire
The Apprentice Extraordinaire Award – Open to all apprentices that are completing or have completed within the last 12 months Someone who is proactive within their approach to their apprenticeship; applies learnings to improve the internal/external customer experience and business needs; leads by example becoming a positive mentor for others; shares personal experiences to pave the way for future apprentices.
To The Moon & Back
To the Moon & Back Award – Open to all employees Someone who demonstrates excellent customer service standards and behaviours; has demonstrated initiative in the role, to drive a service-led culture within their business; constantly demonstrates a warm, friendly, genuine manner with customers; takes responsibility for giving constructive feedback and promotes positive service conversations; helps/coaches others to meet the required standards or challenges; reviews customer feedback and implements innovative ways to improve service.
Talented Newbie
The Talented Newbie Award – Open to all employees with less than 2 years’ service with Churchill Group Someone who delivers an outstanding service to their customers (internal/external); consistently goes above and beyond; committed to ongoing continuous personal development; demonstrates skill and innovation; positively influences the culture of their team/department.
Impact Employee
Impact Employee Award – Open to all colleagues Our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Award for employees recognises individuals who demonstrate exceptional commitment and contribution to sustainable practices and responsible corporate citizenship. • Contribution to reducing our carbon footprint through innovative initiatives or practices • Demonstrates a passion for sustainability, promotes initiatives and shares best practices • Creates practical or innovative solutions to overcome sustainability challenges • Promotion of waste reduction, recycling, or sustainable sourcing practices • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives • Engagement in community service or volunteering activities that positively impact society • Development or support of programmes that enhance employee wellbeing, health, or work- life balance • Implements and actively supports company initiatives

Our 2024 winners
At our 2024 Shining Star Awards held at the prestigious Institute of Directors (IoD) in London’s Pall Mall, we celebrated the outstanding contributions, talent, and dedication of our team.
