A Moment To Remember

We were excited to meet British long-distance runner and double Olympic champion Sir Mo Farah when we sponsored Oasis Community Learning’s annual fundraising night – An Oasis Audience With Sir Mo Farah – recently.

Sir Mo and Neil Creasey

OCL has 21 school sites across London and we have been providing a range of services for them since April. We were delighted to be the main sponsor of their fundraising event, as such support dovetails perfectly with the objectives of our Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing strategy, which is always to give back to and enhance the local communities across the UK in which we work.

Sir Mo took part in a live Q&A session at OCL’s Waterloo site with Sky Sports News presenter Simon Thomas.

As well as being an Olympic champion, Sir Mo is also a world champion and a six-time European champion. His ten global championship gold medals make him the most successful male track distance runner ever, and he is the most successful British track athlete in modern Olympic Games history.

The event was attended by a number of Churchill’s management team, including our chief marketing and development officer Neil Creasey, operations managing director Louisa Clarke, education sector director Ruben Correia and client relationship manager Kathryn Russell.

Neil said: ‘It was a great event and it was fantastic to have the chance to meet Sir Mo. We were very glad to get involved and have the opportunity to put our Churchill values into action, helping out the school community that we are part of.’
